Powdery Lichen

Description:

Beautiful pale bluish green lichen, powdery to the touch and mold-like in appearance. You can see bands of color with the patch appearing more colorful where the lichen was thicker as it filled a crack in the rock.

Habitat:

Spotted growing on a rockface on top of Kennesaw Mountain
