Spotting

Description:

Cone shaped accumulation of fras was broken open today.

Habitat:

Dead grape vine.

Notes:

I believe I've figured out what's going on here. A spider web covers the bottom of the grape vine for several feet. I believe beetles and or their larva are inside the grape vine and expelling their fras through holes in the bottom. The spider web is preventing it from falling to the ground. and it is forming the interesting shapes seen
