It does start out as green but ripens until it's black. It is heavy and large, but not bumpy. The flesh on the inside is stringy and dry when ripened and on the ground.

Is the fruit a light green with black blemishes. Round and completely bumpy. Very large ( can be more than 3 in) and heavy?
