Weaver Ant

Oecophylla smaragdina

Description:

Jaws of a weaver ant. Amazing creatures, I stopped and noticed them for some time. All of them were moving in a synced manner with full co-ordination, touching other ants while moving as though they were whispering something in each others ears while passing. Then they would all stop together and move in a manner similar to Tai Chi moves. No idea what they were up to but the co-ordination was amazing to see. It was awesome, how can they co-ordinate their moves without uttering a word and without even looking at each other!
