Trametes versicolor
This fungus has a red/orange color and is 3 inches long, and 2 inches wide. It has a few visible rings, and the fungus is curved like in the shape of a cup. The turkey tail feels smooth, but is also stiff at the same time.
This fungus was found on a tree log that had fallen in the Singapore American School's rainforest. Singapore is off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, 137 kilometres north of the equator.
Turkey tail usually grow from December to May, and can last for several years. This fungus grows on dead/dying wood, and are also known to grow from wounds in a tree.
