Least Grebe

Tachybaptus dominicus

Description:

They are the smallest member of the grebe family. They are gray all over with a large white rump. The bill is pointed, and the eye is bright orange-yellow.

Habitat:

They are found in southern Texas, Central America, and portions of South America.

Notes:

Was a lifer for me, and one I was very excited to find :)

Thanks Tom! It was a 9 day trip, and so far I'm on day 5 of uploading pictures, hopefully I can get done soon :) And I was really excited for you to see my screech owl in the tree shots, I was so happy to find one finally!
