Dewdrop spider

Argyrodes argyrodes

Description:

Several Argyrodes argyrodes kleptoparasite spiders were spotted in Tzoumerka national Park, Epirus region, Greece, last summer. They were mostly residing in Argiope bruennichi and Araneus angulatus spider where they can feed on small trapped insects that are not eaten by the host. Both host species become pretty large in this region, probably due to the abundance of the prey.
