Townsend's Warbler

Setophaga townsendi

Description:

Yellow and black Warbler. Dark crown with yellow face with black mask and black collar. Yellow chest, white belly and dark streaks down flanks. Olive back with some streaking. Two white bars on wings.

Habitat:

Can be found in conifers and deciduous forests. Also can be found in parks too.

Notes:

Spotted in a deciduous tree in an aquatic park. You may notice some thickness in the bill and face area. That is from eating sap from trees. Not it's usual diet. More like a sweet treat from a Sapsucker.
