Ground cover herbaceous plant with green compound 3 to 4 inch long leaves. Height from ground 3 to 6 inches. Five petaled bright yellow flower with a slightly lighter yelow stamen and pistil,

Habitat:

Open lawn area in a poor fertility area.

Notes:

By having this ID'ed I learned that the sharp little "land mine" that I had in my sandle was from this plant.
