Huntsman Spider

Description:

Seems to be a Huntsman Spider. It is grey/brown in colour. It's head has a dark stripe down each side. The abdomen is the same colour as the head but has dark markings mirrored from L to R. It does seem to be quite hairy. One photo does shows little bit of the underside of the abdomen and that seems to be black.

Habitat:

Suburban backyard. In the weedy ornamental garden. The spider was abt 60cm (2ft) above the ground in the safety of a plant.

Notes:

While weeding the garden, I came across this spider. It was busy with a baby gecko. I have seen spiders with flies & bugs etc but never a gecko. I also have a video. Initially I mistakenly thought it was a Wolf Spider even though it wasn't on the ground, but I now think it is a Huntsman.
