Cyprinodon variegatus variegatus
A small fish with vertical triangles down the length of the body.
Found in brackish water, we seined up hundreds of these guys.
I was on a field trip sampling for fish. All the fish we caught were seined up, then we put them in buckets to look at them. The fish was only out of the water for a few seconds for us to take pictures, then we are returned to the water when we were done.
