Laughing Kookaburra

Description:

The laughing kookaburra is the largest of the kingfishers. It has a white head and a dark eye-stripe. The upper part is dark brown, and there's a blue patch on the wing. The underparts are white and the tail is reddish brown with black stripes. The laughing kookaburra's call is a distinctive laugh, that sounds something between a crazy clown and a jungle environment.

Habitat:

Eucalypt forests of eastern Australia

Notes:

This laughing kookaburra was spotted in the Daisy Hill Conservation Park, just outside of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
