Description:

This is a fast growing woody grass. A large grove of it has taken over the bank of our creek. When you walk in the grove you can see the rhizomeous roots spreading everywhere. The nodes are solid paper-like and in between the nodes are hollow; 8 to 10 meters tall; lance-shaped leaves 1 to 2 cm wide; one side of the stem is slightly flat
