Description:

Hoverflies are usually seen hovering or nectaring at flowers. They mainly feed of off nectar and pollen. The hoverfly larvae have different eating habits from adults. Hoverflies are important pollinators and natural enemies of pests.

Habitat:

Hoverflies could be found in every continent except Antarctica.

This was above my Thai Basil today while I was at home.
