Durian Tree

Durio

Description:

This tree is about 25 metres tall. It is covered with slightly rough brown bark and has the occasional green/light brown spot. The leaves are located about 20 metres up the tree, and are spaced about 3 inches apart. There were no durian fruits in sight, although they may have been higher up the tree.

Habitat:

It was found in the rainforest in Southeast Asia (Singapore) where there is currently a tropical wet climate (humid, hot and sticky weather)

Notes:

This tree was surrounded by bamboo trees. I am not sure if this is a natural relationship or coincidence.
