Pantala Flavescens
An orange body, clearwing dragonfly. On sunny, windless days, seen hovering in large cloud displays.
Adjacent to a small stream. Altitude 900m.
An ongoing project, to get the shot just as the dragon changes direction, with the wings at the lowest attitude. This only occurs once in every 2 seconds. At 40 cycles per second, this 1/20th of a cycle shot is going to take 1,600 presses of the button to nail it.
The shot is to help towards proving a new dragon flight hypothesis of mine. It may be that the shot that I am looking for does not exist, but I cannot afford a hi-speed video camera.
