Conoderus sp.
Pretty Click Beetle, 1.8 cm long, orange with red and black markings. Family Elateridae, subfamily Agrypninae. It looks most like Conoderus nocturnus or C. pilati which have both been reported from Costa Rica (https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/10... and https://www.flickr.com/photos/tristanba/...).
Came to an ultraviolet light. Finca Argovia, Ruta de Cafe, Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico.
Many thanks to Blaine Mathison for the identification. http://v3.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxb... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conoderus https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/10... https://www.marylandbiodiversity.com/vie... https://hiveminer.com/Tags/conoderusspec... https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Figu... https://go.galegroup.com/ps/anonymous?id...

Thank you Mark, can you believe I just found your comment? I could only find a couple of references to Monocrepidius, but it looks like the right genus.
