Red-bellied Woodpecker

Description:

Medium-sized woodpecker, with black-and-white barring on back, pale unmarked chest. This bird has a red nape and red around top base of bill, and a gray-ish forehead, which means this is a female.

Habitat:

Feeding on poison ivy (Toxicodendron radicans) berries in a tree, on margin between field and woods.
