Sticky Frog

Kalophrynus cf heterochirus

Description:

Small sized frogs, around 2.5 cm in size. Saw several of them, looks similar. All 4 pics are of different individuals, was told they are Sticky Frogs - Kalophrynus sp, but not sure of the exact species, possibly Kalophrynus heterochirus.

Habitat:

Tropical rain forest.

Notes:

Endemic to the island of Borneo. The ID is not exact of Kalophrynus heterochirus, could be a local variation or it could possibly be a new species. Some of the Frogs were collected by the Frog Team during Mt. Lucia Expedition. Pic #1 of the Frogs on grass were not in their natural habitat but rather taken before release to the wild. Pics #2, #3 & #4 were taken in-situ in their wild/natural environment.

Yes, @Christine.
I added a 4th pic, where you can see some circular spots on the hind legs, adding more colours to them :D
