The maples down here in Florida already have tiny, hot pink winged seeds on them!
In North Central Florida, the red maples prosper more where they are either tended, (such as in this park), or where their toes can stay moist, such as in a lower-level hammock.

Yeppers, these are red maple seeds- and I agree with you; these are the reddest red maple seeds I've ever seen as well!
Wow, these are red maple seeds/samaras? Pretty bright red for Florida. Always make me think of back home when I see them. That would be Ohio for me.
