That's the whole issue. From the picture, it's hard to tell which member of Apiaceae it is. Might be harmless. Might be deadly. Might be delicious. Even the Edible and Useful Plants of the South Mission admonishes people not to post edible members of the family for fear that a misidentification could be disastrous.

It looks like a wild flower, any close ups? I collect wild flowers for my garden and I would never taste it but it would be nice to recognize it!!

First thing: Don't taste it. There are several deadly poisonous species that look like this.
