Description:

Succulent, annual plant; leaves triangular in shape, fleshy, pointed tip, with a tinge of red; fruit is covered with bright red papery wings. Photo taken at Wadi Tarbat, Al Ain, UAE

Habitat:

Wadis; hill-slopes. Common & widespread in Hajar Mts.

Notes:

Traditionally used as salad green. Medicinal use for liver diseases, in-digestion.
