Description:

Slate-colored race. 6 inches long (15.24 cm). Pale pink bill, dark eyes, whitish belly, tail dark with white outer feathers. Male is dark gray/medium gray. Feeds mostly on seeds either on ground or comes to feeder.

Habitat:

Woodlands/lawn edge.

Cute cute cute!!! I love these guys...they eat the millet we put out, but almost always eat it off the ground instead of the feeder. Great series, Carol!!
