Brown-winged Stink Bug (Eggs)

Description:

Plautia crossota (Dallas, 1951), called the Brown-winged Stink Bug, of family Pentatomidae (Leach, 1815). Spotted these eggs on a leaf of a Dwarf Poinciana plant, Caesalpinia pulcherrima. The adults copulate for 1-3 days and the female lays one batch of eggs 2-4 days after copulation. Each female may lay 2 or 3 batches of eggs but recopulates before each laying.
