This may be Dargida grammivora or D. juxta. Family Erebidae (Noctuidae).

Habitat:

Attracted to the parking lights of a shopping mall on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Hi J. I am so sorry I missed your ID comment so long ago. It definitely is a Dargida and there seems to be several species that are very similar. It looks most like D. grammivora but I wouldn't dare put it as certain :). I added a better picture.
