Asian Glossy Starling

Aplonis panayensis


About 20cm in length, shiny black, with a metallic shine, showing some dark green in the right light. They have black legs and beak and bright red eyes.


Found throughout Asia in lowland and mangrove forests, they have also made a comfortable home in towns and cities where they are very common.
