Leucophaeus atricilla
Small gull like bird of 8 to 10 inches long from tail to beek tip. Dove gray overall color with reddish brown tail and wing edges. White underside with black beak and eyes.
Feeding and foraging in a intracoastal waterway/inlet. Very rainy and cloudy day.
Liam, the other gull looks like a Herring gull but it has yellow feet. It was a very large gull. I went to the beach that day with the idea inmind that the very overcast day might bring something to the beachg that normally would not be there. What's you guess?
Thanks Liam, I figured you would know. I cant seem to get these gulls. I never would have placed it as a Laughing gull, even though Ive had other spottings. What about the big gull I have on unidentified? Laughing too?
