Bark Jumping Spider

Description:

Spotting #400 featuring a white-colored jumping spider of the Phaeacius genus. Female. Their colors and patterns help them to break their outline and blend in, camouflaging on the tree barks they live on. Try to spot it!

Habitat:

On the lower whitish part of a Cyrtostachys palm tree (possibly Cyrtostachys renda) in a garden in BDC, Kuching city, Sarawak.

Notes:

My first photograph of a Phaeacius species. I will upload more spottings in the next few weeks from Sarawak during my trip there in 2009. >>>Map accuracy : 1km diameter.
