Description:

This is one of the Moths in the Genus Zale. It's likely Zale lunifera or Zale intenta. It was a multi-colored pattern with different shades of brown and gray. Each wing has a distinct, light brown crescent-shaped marking.

Habitat:

This one was attracted to a porch light at the edge of a deciduous forest in the midlands of South Carolina (Edgefield County).
