Description:

My son, daughter, and I saw about 6 or 7 white-tail deer at the top of our hill. We went to observe and after they left we found this poor guy.

That's a bummer! I have no idea...he's a youngster...last-year's baby...they're sometimes pretty clumsy...I volunteer at a Raptor rehab center in Colorado and 90% of all injuries are caused by humans...intentional or not...we're usually the culprit! Lead poisoning is a bad cause here...we need to get rid of lead ammunition! ;-(

Unfortunately we were too late. He was very stiff with no signs of life. Unsure of the cause of death. No visible injuries. Any ideas?
