American Alligator

Alligator mississippiensis

Notes:

These gators were all different individuals. It's too hard for me to know where to put them on the map in the park though! The name "alligator" is probably an anglicized form of el lagarto, the Spanish term for "the lizard", which early Spanish explorers and settlers in Florida called the alligator.
