Eastern Blue Tongued Skink

Description:

An eastern blue tongued skink at the Sedgwick County Zoo. These guys are adorable lizards with their stubby legs. Blue tongued skinks and all their myriad subspecies are quite popular in the herpetology pet trade. Often considered a good beginner species for keepers. Blue tongued skinks are docile and shy, and are beautiful animals.

Habitat:

Native to Australia.
