Syzygium jambos, Myrtaceae
Found on the ground. it is not known wether it belongs to a tree or a vine. When this is shaken you can hear something inside. It is green in color and about 1/2 an inch in diameter. I looks a bit like a green pomegranate except it's smaller. A few other of the same kind were found near each other, broken. Ants were eating the flesh, but the seed or whatever else was inside was nowhere to be found.
Secondary Rainforest
When they are yellow you can eat them, taste like apple and rose...delicious!! My trees are old about 20/30 feet tall and the monkeys and birds come to eat them, right now they are green.
