Description:

An Erebid moth caterpillar collected by a potter wasp. The potter wasp delivers a paralyzing but non-lethal sting, and then carries the victim back to the pot where it is interred along with the wasp egg. The pot is then sealed at the opening and the potter wasp larva eats the caterpillar as it grows.

Habitat:

Rural garden.
