Thanks Ajwerko!
S Frazier, I see the circle on the map now where the mission was started. Thanks for the info.

Mission creation page "Fill out the details and select the geographical area where your mission will take place. Keep in mind that your mission must fall within a radius of at most 300 miles (482 km)."

Yes I know...On the map you can zoom out to see where the radius is. Users are told on the mission creation page that missions are local (300 mile radius). There is no way to automatically control how they describe their missions. Sorry for the trouble.

OK, I removed all my sightings from the Egrets and Herons mission. How do I know what the geographical ranges of a mission like this are? The details of the mission says "This mission is to document the types of Egrets and Herons of the World, the habitats they live in, their feeding habits, and their breeding rituals and physical changes during mating season."

Beautiful! Hey Tom sorry. All user-created missions must go through a local phase before they can be considered for a global reach. The new Egrets and Herons mission must go through a local phase first, so I think your spottings are unfortunately out of its local range. Cheers
