Ant protecting Treehopper Nymphs

Description:

This ant was watching over a batch of Treehopper nymphs (no adult in sight), even perhaps preventing predation on the nymphs by the two tiny ladybugs below them.

Habitat:

On shrubs near the river in the ravine called the Corazon del Fortin, Fortin de Las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico.
