Mourning Cloak

Description:

A large woodland butterfly with very dark red wings. The wings are bordered in cream to yellow and there is a darker band with blue spots between the border of the wings and the inner side.

Habitat:

Generally considered a butterfly of the woodlands but can also be found in drier areas such as deserts.
