11 to 15 inches in height a medium sized rodent like mammal. Predominantly a grey and brown-black coat.

Habitat:

Pine forest adjacent to a golf course and former scrub habitat and wetland.

yes, definitely a nursing female. she let me get fairly close but I didn't want to overly disturb her. these guys are at least double the size of grey squirrels and even while nursing are very human friendly.
