Bizarre Wattle Looper Larvae

Description:

An old spotting but I have only just been able to identify it. This caterpillar is the strangest shape, with jagged edges protruding from each body segment, looking like a dead, half chewed leaf.

Habitat:

Found feeding on a Lilly Pilly bush ( Syzygium) in a suburban garden.
