Brown Anole Lizard

Anolis sagrei

Dorsal ground color brown. Dorsal pattern consists of light dorsolateral lines from each eye onto tail and brown spots in a row on each side of a middorsal line. Male is more brown than the female. Note the diaminds down the back and tail.

Tis lizard was spotted in a small bush that was in a wooded area with a pond. He was hunting and we saw him catch a small butterfly which somehow escaped!
