Small, orange on underside, coppery brown above, with a row of three white dots as shown.

Habitat:

Spotted at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Native habitat is mostly mixed coniferous forest with some Gambel's Oak. Elevation over 6,000 ft. Planted butterfly gardens attract a variety of butterflies and other insects.
