Description:

The Grey Pansy is a species of nymphalid butterfly - the spots on its wings helps it to survive attacks from predators- By either scaring them off or in most cases, fooling the attackers (mostly birds) into attacking the wrong end with the "false eyes" this fellow is probably a survivor of a bird attack.
