Spotting

Description:

striking red flower stalk with small tubular shaped yellow blooms, small woody shrub

Habitat:

primary rainforest

Notes:

One of the few plants I saw flowering in the Amazon. With such little light reaching the forest floor, there aren't a lot of plants in bloom. I saw this one a few times.
