Description:

A female poecilimon macedonicus on a yarrow flower. Poecilimon macedonicus occurs only on the southeastern part of the Balkan Peninsula (NE-Greece: from Olympus and Florina eastwards to Kavala, Macedonia and SW-Bulgaria). The adults appear from June and live partly until August.

Habitat:

Poecilimon macedonicus inhabits especially herb-rich edges of pastures, shrub or Pteridium aquilinum stands. Spotted in a meadow of mount Chortiatis (Thessaloniki, Greece).
