Pitcher Plant

Nepenthes ampullaria

Description:

These Pitcher Plants were about 8 cm long and 4 cm wide. Their colors were reddish-brown, white, and green. The sides of the pitcher was slippery and banded in red and green colors. The inside was hollow and had some liquid inside. They had a leaf right above their openings and they hung from vine-like stems.

Habitat:

I spotted these Pitcher Plants at Singapore Botanic Gardens. They were located inside the Cool House there, which was a lot cooler than outside. Their stems were trailing from top to bottom on a rocky texture wall. I found them at 4:22 PM.
