Argiope trifasciata
An orb weaver in the genus Argiope, known for its distinctive banded design on the abdomen as well as the stabilimentum usually found in its webbing.
Can be found in numerous different places, most often in fields of high grass and weeds that are strong enough to support a web.
I've placed pictures of both adolescent and adult females that I observed over the summer of 2012. I can't be certain they are of the same spider, though they are almost certainly the same species.

Thanks again Luis. These are my personal obsessions. It's the only Argiope species I've found in my region thus far, and they are just soooo photogenic!
Nice series Daniel! I like you show both adolescent and adult form.
