Pompelon marginata
This stunning, bright blue butterfly is heart shaped, and has two blue antennas sticking out the top. It is the widest at the bottom, where the two wings spread out, into a heart, but then shrinks tons as you reach the head, where it is the size of a large freckle. It is a dark blue/black in the center and toward the top, but then fades into a lighter, yet still dark blue color until it is a beautiful light, common shade of blue.
I found this butterfly on a large leaf with holes in it, that look like insect bites, at the Singapore American School.
This butterfly is one of my favorites because of the outstanding, bright, shades of blue it has on its wings.
