Jack in the Pulpit

Arisaema triphyllum

Description:

Green with three parted leaves and flowers contained in a spadix that is covered by a hood.

Habitat:

It is native to eastern North America, occurring in moist woodlands and thickets. This was spotted along side a shale-type trail in a city park wooded area. The area is relatively moist ground; and is saturated in rainy season to lightly flooded.

Alice you are correct. Multi tasking is not what I should have been doing. Thank you I will edit it to the proper species. I volunteer along side w/ numerous Master Gardeners in Pinellas & can always count on them when I need help w my plants. Thank you.
