Long-nosed Planthopper

Description:

Dark green Long-nosed Planthopper in the Family Dictyopharidae. It has florescent green stripes on the head and thorax and brown striped eyes. The males have large conspicuous genitalia (pictures 4 & 5).

Habitat:

Several individuals of this species came to an ultraviolet light. Finca Argovia, near Nuevo Alemania, about 2 hours from Tapachula, Chiapas.
