Eumorphus marginatu
This beetle was found underneath a mushroom on a tree. The beetle is black and has four orange dots. The beetle was about 1 centimeter with a width of about 5 mml. The beetle seemed undisturbed even when we came close to it. The beetle was very hidden underneath, away from most of the sunlight that was coming in through the leaves of the tree. This beetle is mainly, only found on fungi in the SAS rainforest. It is still unknown to whether this fungus beetle ever makes a different plant as its shelter.
The habitat of this fungus beetle is this mushroom. The mushroom was found on a host tree and has been a home for these beetles for quite a while now. The mushroom is not identified; however, in length the mushroom was about 6 centimeters and in width, about 10 centimeters. The host tree was found in a dark area of the rainforest, where the only sunlight was from above.
